Script:
Today was a super long day for me at work. When I got home I immediately began working on the Critical Creative Reflection script. I got home around 6PM and got the notes I took in class. These notes were really crucial to my planning. It broke down the four main questions I had to answer in my CCR. I wanted to use these four questions as parameters for my CCR. In addition to these four sections, I also plan to add an ending section. So in total, the video will be split into 5 main parts: genre, audience, process, technology, and final statements.
With all of this in mind, I began working on the script. I wanted to show my process of creating the script. While making the script, I split the work into two sections. The first is an outline of the needed elements and the second is the words that will be spoken. What will be said will not be exactly what's written down, however. From everything, I have learned from public speaking, it's never good to read fully off a script. I don't want to create a robotic or awkward tone and doing this will help me avoid that.
On the right, you can see the first portion of the creation of the script. I went in the order of the 4 questions, referencing my previous blog where I listed them. I made sure to include the questions for each section so I will be constantly reminded. Each section has bullet points with topics of discussion. Some of these bullets have dashes under them with more specifics of what will be discussed. Having everything laid out like this allows me to make sure I hit each element. I will also be using this outline to check my final CCR.
To the left is the main portion of the script I will reference. For the Process and Technolgy portion, I plan on speaking on both sections whilst I edit everything. For the technology portion, I recorded most of my editing. This will let me show the audience examples and challenges I faced with each software. For the process, I have a lot of images and videos I can use. I will definitely use my blog to address the planning/ production approaches portion. I want the technology portion to really show the audience how I made the opening. Especially with After Effects, there are many big and small things I did to make the opening complete.
For the final statements, my response will be completely natural. I want to give my honest thoughts while I outline what I learned and could improve/do differently. I don't tend to be too nervous so I think I won't have any trouble doing this. Today was an amazing day for my CCR production. Tomorrow, I will wake up early and begin sorting out everything I need to make my CCR. I will create all of it tomorrow and put the last touches on Monday. I will also make sure to go over my opening one last time to make sure it's perfect. I am actually looking forward to editing the CCR. I am looking to show off a completely different editing style than my opening!
