Production Intro:
The name "Alpie Productions" randomly came to me. It had no real meaning or sense to it honestly. At the time I was thinking of Aplanisim and the name just came to me. I ended up searching Alpie on Google and funny enough it's a mushroom manufacturer. This was a complete coinsedense but a really funny one.
I thought it would be neat to animate an introduction for the opening. I have experience in Adobe Photoshop and know its animation features slightly. To be honest, I just remember you can animate with Photoshop. I began by refreshing my memory on all the animating features with the youtube video below.
This video primarily served to remind me of different elements within the animation section of PS. It gave me a good refresher and I quickly began working on the intro. I knew I wanted to incorporate a natural feeling. I wanted this so I could use the sound of birds as a transition into the first clip. To achieve this, I create a mountainscape by layering different mountain brush outlines. The background was a solid base blue and the sun is two eclipses. I kept the whole setting simple so it would be easier to animate. I also tested several different cloud outline brushes. Eventually, I settled on a brush with a small bunch of clouds.
After I situated the background, I began animating the text. I wanted to text to appear in strokes of parts of the letters. I believe this added an artist feel to the whole thing. I went frame by frame adding a new stroke to the title text. Then I began animating the sun. I skipped two frames and moved both ellipses up to achieve this simple animation.
After the whole animation was created, I rendered it as a video and brought it to After Effects. In AE, I added a fade away and the "production" portion of the title". Then I rendered the whole thing and put it in the film opening AE project. I shifted through several clips to find sounds of birds chirping. After this, I took the sound and used Adobe Audition to remove any of the background sounds.
This program I will also use when creating the CCR which I will begin tomorrow. It allows for any impurities in an audio file to be removed. I basically spent my whole day working on this project. I recorded most of it too so I can put it in the CCR. I did some amazing work today and now I am set to finish this project by Wensday and continue to revise the project in the days following.
